North Tyneside enforcement officers have even been out a few times in Whitley Bay recently, and most of our illegals are either North Tyneside private hire, or Berwick hacks. Lets hope the flimpers get the message, and lets hope the council deal with them appropriately, after the courts have dealt with them, i.e. the council should consider suspending their licence, certainly if they are caught more than once. I am led to believe that Berwick council takes no action against any of its licence holders who are caught illegally plying for hire in other areas of the country !!!!

The Council need to be out and about at 01.15am and 03.05am, but they are probably tucked up in bed by then!
(01.15am) The Berwick gang don't really start Hacking until then, lurking around the Kebab shops and outside of the Eden Nightclub.

(03.05am) When the Clubs kick out, all the Hacks on South Parade clear, leaving Customers in the Shelter until they return, out the shadows comes the Bandits to grab a few punters and off they go, they are like vultures at remains of a Zebra caught by Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!, when the Tigers are finished all other hunters pick at the remains!

whitley bay hacking by bandits

Post  fred on Thu Jul 17, 2008 1:53 am

sorry, i have not seen that going on, cos i am also tucked up in bed by then... well getting stuck into a few cans and chilling out Smile
but a good point nontheless, as far as i know the "enforcement officers" earn good money, part of their job description should be to "work as and when required", never mind the 9 to 5 bullshit, and forget about "enhanced overtime" payments.. if they are not up to the job... get people in who are.

Post  johnno on Fri Jul 18, 2008 7:29 pm

in north tyneside the enforcement officers ring all the offices and tell them when they're coming out! Duuuhhh! nowt like warning all the flimpers when the desk clerk messages all the drivers via their plotters or data heads. No

enforcement

Post  fred on Sat Jul 19, 2008 1:50 am

if thats true Johnno, its a disgrace.. i was aware that cars report to offices that the enforcement officers are out and about, and this is then relayed to all of the cars, but for the enforcement officers to actually inform the ph/taxi offices.. surely not ?

I think a lot of "back scratching" goes on between the big two and the council!
Anyway the third big operator, his Cars get away with nowt if Mr N is in town, whether the drivers know or not!
