Ferry Terminal

Post  A HACK on Thu Jul 10, 2008 2:03 pm

That is one BIG joke ! Surely what they are doing there is totally illegal, touting for fares as soon as the Norwegians step off the ferry. I thought that every job that a private hire office got has to be booked through the office ? so why are the council letting this go on. also, what ever happened to the taxi rank that was there and had been for many years, was it removed illegally ? should it still be there ? scratch scratch

A HACK

A HACK!
The Ferry Terminal appears to be controlled by Eastcoast and Blueline Berwick boys, you want to get the Mafia down their, they chased one of Graeme's Doblo's two weeks ago and big Joe Steel checked with NT Council and apparently the Berwick Boys had the right to do that!, that's more offensive that Central PH drivers hanging around McD's is'nt it?????????????????????

You hit the nail on the head. when north tyneside operators and drivers are told that Berwick drivers can chase them in their own operating area,i.e. north tyneside that is totally offensive and north tyneside council should hang their heads in shame for not backing the very people who pay licence fees which keep them in a job. Evil or Very Mad

A North Tyneside hack can pick up from the international ferry terminal, if flagged down or approached by members of the public. Also, the "dubious" contract providers have no authority to chase anyone away, i use the word dubious because it is highly unlikely that they are operating legally.
