no axe to grind
as a ph driver for eastcoast i have no axe to grind with anyone at the moment, life is ticking along slowley on the coast ,no point in moaning you cant force people to use taxis.one comment i would like to make though to the hack drivers many of which i know and respect, can you do something about south parade on the weekends its a joke how many of you have had cars damaged, why dont u get in touch with the new police commander and ask if he will cone of that side for you as a trial try and make life easier for us all its only a matter of time before some poor 20 stoner from shields stuffing her face with a kebab gets run over walking through the parked cars on s parade. cheers guys its worth a try u never know

20 Stoner South parade
Believe me mate the police have been approached on numerous occasions re: South Parade, not least the illegal parking of Lorries & Buses, all to no avail. It has been suggested to close SP on a weekend night it has also been suggested to have parking on one side only but the Hotels object to that, which is understandable. Another suggestion was to make SP & NP oneway ...SP Down and NP up. Of course there was not a problem 5 or 6 years ago before the Council decided to double the number of Hack Licences..so really the solution should be theirs to decide. By the way we love the Private Hire aswell..
